This product is a cable management device designed to organize and manage cables in SharkRack's computer cabinets. It is common in many data centers to move products in and out of computer cabinets on a regular basis. But re-cabling a computer cabinet can be an arduous and unpleasant task, especially when plastic ties have to be broken and then re-tied. Also, many fiber-based systems are highly sensitive to being cinched down too tightly, which is easy to do with plastic ties. This can actually break the fibers and cause cabling failures. The 40-CM-70 solves all of them problems.
This very flexible unit has been designed specifically for SharkRack cabinets. The 40-CM-70 can be moved virtually anywhere in the computer cabinet: to the front, to the back, or to the middle. This is a very nice feature for units of varying depths. It is modular, at about 1.5" wide and 70" tall. Up to four 40-CM-70s can be placed in the back of a 70" computer cabinet. It uses Velcro ties to secure cables in place. Moving cables is as easy as opening the Velcro strap.
