Unfortunately, Sun's proprietary rack-mount kit is not compatible with many computer cabinets, due to the fact that a metal stud sticks out from the slide mechanism and brackets and hits the mounting rails.

SharkRack has resolved this issue with the 40-E220-420-R19-H, a replacement rack-mount kit for Sun's E220, E420, and 280R. SharkRack's rack-mount kit instead uses a moveable screw which can be mounted in multiple locations, freeing up the kit to be anchored into the computer cabinet in a much more flexible manner.
