The E4000 product line was a smashing success for Sun, but there were two primary problems with racking it: How do you place it in a computer cabinet, and how do you keep it from over-heating once racked? 40-E4000-R19-H, SharkRack's flagship product, solved both of these problems with an aesthetically pleasing unit.

Racking the E4000 series is no small task since the chassis on the unit does not come rack-ready. The 40-E4000-R19-H solves this problem by providing a robust platform on which the E4000 sits.

The 40-E4000-R19-H also addresses the unique cooling requirements of the server. The E4000 series servers vent and draw air from side-to-side, unlike most rack-ready systems. If left on a shelf, the system will likely overheat, and then thermal failures to CPUs and disk drives are fairly certain. The 40-E4000-R19-H has a set of fans and baffles that sit below the E4000 series computer. These fans and baffles re-direct air-flow inside the computer cabinet so that cool air is drawn from the front and hot air is vented out the back. This ensures the E4000 operates within Sun's thermal guidelines.
