The 40-RST-HD is a heavy-duty anti-tip guard designed to work with the entire family of SharkRack computer cabinets. As server manufacturers continue to develop products with greater CPU and disk capacity, the weight of these products also increases. While their performance enhancements are desirable, managing these systems - especially those with hot-swappable components - can be a daunting task. A 350 pound server mounted mid-height in a computer cabinet can easily tip over the entire computer cabinet when server slide-out trays are extended. While we always recommend that heavier items are mounted in the bottom of a computer cabinet, we recognize that some configurations call for heavy items in upper RUs (Rack Unit = 1.75").

Enter the 40-RST-HD. This unit is made of heavy-duty steel and can withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure.Unlike most computer cabinets, which come with thin stabilizer arms, the 40-RST-HD is a wide and robust product that has a connected front and two sides.It slides out from the bottom front of the computer cabinet.Leveling feet can be lowered down to ensure that the computer cabinet is stable before pulling out heavy sliding shelves. This is also a very aesthetically pleasing unit that is painted in the SharkRack gray color scheme to match the computer cabinet.

The 40-RST-HD is shipped standard on the 42” 40-ECAB-SRS2-42, 70" 40-ECAB-SRS2-70 and 77" 40-ECAB-SRS2-77 computer cabinets.The 40-RST-HD is available as an option for older Series 2 cabinets.
